The St. Lawrence County Office for the Aging has a limited number of farmers’ market coupon booklets left for eligible seniors who have not already received them.
They are worth $20, redeemable at local farmers’ markets for fresh, nutritious fruits and vegetables.
The coupon booklets are free for seniors 60 years and older who are receiving or eligible for SSI, public assistance, section 8 Housing subsidies or whose income is less than $1,800 if single or less than $2,426 if married.
Only one coupon booklet will be issued per senior household. All qualified seniors must sign for the booklet in person at the Office for the Aging office, 80 State Highway 310, Suite 7 in Canton. Coupon booklets cannot be mailed, nor can they be signed for by a proxy. They are available on a first come, first served basis.
