POTSDAM — “Exploring Fall Island” is the new featured exhibit at the Potsdam Public Museum now open to the public.

A debut reception was held at the museum Saturday, Nov. 16.

Local artist Sara Lynch organized the new exhibit, focusing on the ecological history of Fall Island in Potsdam.

Trinity Episcopal Church, Jernabi’s Coffee Shop, Evans and White Hardware, and the park behind it, are currently on Fall Island.

Lynch brought together local artists and writers as part of her Support For Artists grant from the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) 2024 project.

Lynch partnered with the Potsdam Public Museum, with the exhibit showcasing local artists’ creations combining art and science, inspired by Fall Island ecology.

The Potsdam museum is open to the public Tuesday-Friday from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.
