OGDENSBURG -- Entries are being accepted for Ogdensburg’s first outdoor youth talent show scheduled for July 8 at 7 p.m.
It will help kick off the Music On the Oswegatchie Delta (MOOD) Fest on the banks of the Oswegatchie River at Hosmer’s Marina.
Sponsored by MOOD Fest and the Ogdensburg Free Academy Key Club, the talent show will offer three divisions for elementary students, middle school and high school performers.
The show begins at 7 p.m.
Winners in each division will help open Saturday’s July 9 MOOD Fest at noon.
Admission for the Friday youth talent show is $3 for students and $5 for adults.
To enter the talent show call OFA Key Club Advisor Christina Frank at 713-4016 or email her at christina.b.frank@gmail.com.
Divisions will be limited to the first six registrants. Trophies will be awarded to the top three in each division.
All funds raised will be used to help students attend the state leadership training conference in Albany.
“For more than 20 years, the Ogdensburg Free Academy Key Club has helped young people from across Northern New York develop their performance skills,” said Key Club Advisor Christina Frank. “By teaming up with the musical professionals at MOOD Fest, we will be able to introduce some of Northern New York’s young musicians to the region’s top professional performers.”
High school participants will also have be invited to attend the music business seminar earlier in the day on July 8 by headliner, blues master and music educator Chaz DePaolo.
