OGDENSBURG – The Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center Health Nuts Wellness Team sponsored the Skeleton Skamper 5K run/walk.
Participants followed a path of Halloween jokes, and were entered into drawings for prizes including frozen turkeys and gift cards from Price Chopper.
Runners over fifty saw David Schaefer take first place in the men’s division with a strong second place by Matt Peacock. In the women’s over fifty division, Glenda Jones took first place, followed by Rose Bouchey.
Runners age 13-50 saw Drew McNeil take first place in the men’s division followed by Gene Perrigo in second place. Female runners in that division saw Sheila Perrigo place first and Katherine Richey in second.
The under 21 runner who took first place in his division was Blair Reynolds.
Male walkers over 50 saw Allan Mooney take first and for the females in that category, Andrea Chenier took first place and Nell Schneider took second.
In the 13-50 Walkers, Michael Kennedy took first place, and for the females in that category, Jillian Pharaoh took first and Mona Pratt and Shannon Lalonde shared second place.
