St. Lawrence University senior Jack Whelan was named to the 2015 Division III Ping All America golf team as selected by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
Whelan was a second team selection and the lone representative from the Northeast among the top 16 golfers selected. The top eight made the first team and the next eight were second team selections. A total of 43 golfers were named to the All America team with 19 honorable mention selections.
It was Whelan's third All America selection and he is the second Saint golfer to earn All America honors, joining Kyle Rank, who was All America in 2005.
Whelan was the first Saint to qualify for the NCAA Division III tournament as an individual and was in the top ten through three rounds before finishing tied for 26th.
The Liberty League Player of the Year, he set league records for low 36 and low round. He finished his career with 25 top ten finishes in 28 starts.
