Sophomores Alanna Blackburn and Olivia Rettstatt and senior Elizabeth Canne each won a pair of events as St. Lawrence University's women's swim team swept its home opening weekend and won its third straight dual meet with a 133-108 win over R.I.T. at the Augsbury Pool on Saturday.

Blackburn won the 50 and 100 free, Rettstatt the 100 and 500 free and Canne the 400 individual medley and 200 breaststroke, combining for 54 points in the meet.

The Saints were second in the opening event of the meet as the 200 medley relay team of Natalie Dellinger, Julia Carson, Katharina Weidhausser and Blackburn finished in 1:58.92, but Rettstatt, who won three events in the two meets, took the 1000 free in 11:16.58 with Gabriella Marchetti finishing second and the Saints were on their way.

Carson won the 200 free in 2:04.75 with Weidhausser, who will graduate in December and was swimming her final home dual meets, finishing second and Blackburn, another three event winner for the Saints in their weekend sweep, won the 50 for the second straight day, swimming 25.80 with Becca Raab finishing third.

Canne took the 400 IM with a 4:58.94 clocking and came back later in the meet to win the 200 breaststroke in 2:37.76 with Courtney Goodrich finishing second. Blackburn completed her double with a win in 56.18 in the 100 free with Dellinger third and Rettstatt won the 500 free in 5:31.09.
