Oneida, NY – The Men's golf team concluded day one of the Empire 8 Championship hosted by Kanon Valley Country Club sitting in seventh place, just 5 strokes behind sixth place Nazareth College.
A strong round one outing places Matthew Russell tied for 14th place out of the 50-golfer field. He shot 7-over par shooting a 79 to lead the Roos. Connor Amo (T-22) and Tom Rancour (32) currently sit in the middle of the pack but in good position to make runs up the board going into tomorrow.
St. John Fisher currently holds the lead in the nine-team field shooting a team score of 6-over par while Canton is currently sitting 50-over par.
