Delhi, NY – Jordan Podkladek (Gansevoort, NY) won a pair of games to lift the SUNY Canton softball team to a pair of victories against host SUNY Delhi on Sunday afternoon.

The Roos took the opener 4-1 and came back with a 12-3 win in the nightcap. With the wins SUNY Canton jumps above .500 on the season improving to 11-10. The Broncos fall to 10-14.

Podkladek tossed a three-hitter with three strikeouts in the opener. Rhea Coad (Wheatfield, NY) and Chloe Solomon (Cold Spring, NY) led the offense going a combined 6-for-8. Coad was 3-for-4 with three singles in the leadoff spot, while Solomon was equally impressive going 3-for-4 with a triple and drove home a pair of runs.

Jaedyn Ossont (Turin, NY) hit her second dinger of the season in Game 1. Solomon drove home senior Kristyn Reynolds (Malone, NY) and Kaleigh Foran (Fort Ann, NY) drove home Coad on an RBI single in the fifth.

SUNY Canton cruised in the nightcap behind another strong pitching performance from Podkladek. She scattered seven hits over her second complete game of the day. The wins improve Podkladek to 8-4 overall on the season.
