First-term Republican Rep. Elise Stefanik of Willsboro received more than twice as many votes as her Democratic to retain her 21st Congressional seat on Tuesday.
With all but Hamilton County reporting, she has received 159,725 votes, compared to 77,872 for political newcomer Democrat Mike Derrick of Peru. Green Party candidate Matt Funiciello, who ran for a second time in the district, received 11,312.
The 21st Congressional District includes all or parts of St. Lawrence, Jefferson, Lewis, Franklin, Clinton, Essex, Warren, Washington, Fulton, Hamilton, Herkimer and Saratoga counties.
