Rep. Bill Owens will hold a telephone town hall this evening from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. to answer questions about the Affordable Care Act.

A representative from New York State of Health, New York’s state-run health insurance marketplace, will join him to answer questions related to the state’s rollout of the Affordable Care Act.

“New York State has been a model for successful implementation of the insurance marketplace under the health care law, and I look forward to teaming with the state to answer questions and receive feedback from my constituents about the new options available to them,” Owens, a Plattsburgh Democrat, said

A random sample of residents of the 21st Congressional District will receive an invitation by telephone to participate in the call. Those constituents who are not randomly selected and wish to participate in the call can sign-up by:

· Emailing their names and complete phone numbers to ny21townhall@mail.house.gov

· Calling the congressman’s Washington office at 202-225-4611, or

· Filling out the form provided at http://owens.house.gov/Contact/TeletownHall.htm

For those unable to participate in the telephone town hall, questions or concerns can be sent to Owens by calling any of his offices in New York or Washington, by visiting his website at http://owens.house.gov, on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/repbillowens or @BillOwensNY on Twitter.
