OGDENSBURG – The Frederic Remington Art Museum's NYS Juried Art Exhibit 2010 has opened in the museum's Richard E. Winter Gallery.
Juror Karen Shelby selected 23 works to be in the exhibition, which opened Sept. 25 and will remain on view through Jan. 8.
The exhibition includes local artists: Judy Andrus Toporcer, Colton; Georgette Bacon, Nicholville; William Beebe, Potsdam; Sharon H.J. Cheng, Potsdam; Jan S. Close, Winthrop; Danielle Johns, Potsdam; John Morrow, Ogdensburg; Austin Overturf, Colton; Valerie Patterson, Malone; Paul N. Pedersen, Hermon; and Daniel White - Rarakarenistha, Hogansburg.
Many of the works will be for sale. One third of the proceeds benefit the Frederic Remington Art Museum, and two thirds go to the artist.

The Frederic Remington Art Museum is located at 303 Washington St., Ogdensburg, and is open Wednesday-Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m.
