To the Editor:
“Steppin’ For Steve,” a Relay for Life Team from the Ogdensburg Event would like to thank the following people:
Nick Friot and Heuvelton Volunteer Fire Department for the loan of their dunking booth. Sam Lamacchia, Wayne Ashley, Sam Burns, and Kevin Kendall for volunteering your time to sit in the dunking booth as targets. You helped us to raise more than $400.
The New York State Police for their donation of cans and bottles as well as canned foods which were used to hold the luminary bags and later donated to the food pantry. We are grateful they were willing to take time for us even though they were very busy with the hunt for the escaped convicts.
The Ogdensburg Elks Lodge for hosting our fundraising breakfast. Carrie Demers for volunteering her time and talent in cooking the breakfast. You helped us to raise more than $300.
The many people who stopped by to support us at the Relay for Life Event as well as those who supported us at the breakfast, made a donation, or purchased luminary bags prior to the event.
Without your support we would not have been able to raise the money we raised. We are grateful for all you have done.
