Re: “Vote No on School Budget” (Sound Off, May 11-17). You ask, "What is Colton school doing for your community?" I respond with teaching our children using the very best of our resources and achieving awesome results. We are very fortunate in this district, especially if you live in the town of Colton. Our taxes are among the lowest in the area. Some people have suggested consolidating with a neighboring school. Keep in mind, that consolidation would mean a raising of OUR taxes to make up for what is lacking in another district. I, for one, don't want that. I am proud of our school, I'm proud to work there and I'm proud that my children attend this school and are getting the best education in the North Country.
