POTSDAM – A nearly two-month investigation, a Potsdam woman has been arrested for allegedly impersonating a doctor and attempting to call in prescriptions for Vicodin at two pharmacies.
Tiffanee J. Young, 25, of 88 Heath Rd., was arrested for allegedly pretending to be a physician and calling both Walmart in Potsdam and Walgreens in Massena and requesting a Vicodin prescription for herself, deputies said.
Both pharmacies refused to fill the prescriptions and the incidents were reported on Aug. 29, deputies said.
Young was charged with a felony count of criminal impersonation and with a public health law violation of fraudulently attempting to obtain a prescription medication, deputies said.
She was released on appearance tickets and is to face the charges in Potsdam Town Court at a later date.
