POTSDAM – The Potsdam Town Council meets tonight to consider a resolution in support of the Ogdensburg Psychiatric Center.
With members of the state Office of Mental Health to be in Ogdensburg Wednesday as part of a “listening tour” before they recommend where to cut and consolidate state mental hospitals, the Town of Potsdam plans to be added to the list of North Country municipalities expressing support for the Ogdensburg facility.
Also on tonight’s agenda are reports on the progress of work on the former Town Hall at 35 Market St., which is undergoing extensive renovation, and on an update to an analysis of what it would take to extend water and sewer services out State Rt. 56 North, with an eye to possibly offering service to the Unionville District.
The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at the new Town Hall at 18 Elm St.
