POTSDAM – The Mayor of Village of Potsdam is recommending that all homeowners continue to run a trickle of water from one faucet to prevent freezing of their water lines from the street to their homes.
Mayor Steve Yurgartis says it is recommended that this continue until further notice.
Yurgartis said water bills will be adjusted so consumers are not charged for the extra water.

Temperatures are expected to rise in the next week, but the long spell of cold has driven frost deep into the ground and won’t thaw for some time.
