STOCKHOLM – A Potsdam man with four previous driving while intoxicated felony convictions has been charged with felony aggravated DWI.
State police responding to a report of a property damage accident at State Rt. 11C and US 11 report that Glen R. Hewey, 52, had been southbound on 11C and failed to stop at the intersection with 11 and hit a tree, according to police.
Troopers said they measured Hewey’s blood alcohol level at .20 percent, more than enough for an aggravated DWI charge. He was also charged with failure to stop at a stop sign.
Hewey was arraigned in Norfolk Town Court and sent to the county jail without bail.
Hewey is to be back in Norfolk court March 14.
