POTSDAM – A Potsdam man was airlifted to University of Vermont Medical Center following a motorcycle accident involving a truck Sunday, according to state police.
Jacob J. Ashley, 35, was injured after he attempted to pass a GMC pick-up on 11B.
Nathan E. Barton, of Potsdam, operated the truck. State police say Ashley failed to see Barton making a left turn into a driveway.
Ashley’s motorcycle stuck the rear of Barton’s truck, entered a ditch and he was thrown from the bike.
Ashley suffered a broken left leg.
He was transported to University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vt., by Lifenet to be treated.
No tickets were issued.
