POTSDAM – Potsdam High School junior Kyle Frederick had a good idea and made it a reality, raising $90 for Hospice.
As part of his Sports Management class, Kyle chose to organize a handball tournament and raise money for Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley, an organization he has volunteered for in the past.
Thirty students participated, paying $3 apiece to get in the games. The players were organized into six teams of five people each.
Congratulations to the winners: Tyler Belleau, Mike Chambers, Lee Buchanan, Sam Skufca and Joe Bartlett.
Kyle’s $90 donation will be used to help Hospice care for seriously ill people who live in St. Lawrence County.
