POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Food Co-op, 24 Elm St., will celebrate 46 years in the North Country with its Local Food Fest on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The public is invited to the event, rain or shine, under the big tents for a day of food, music, and entertainment.
The event is an opportunity to sample many local foods and learn more about the Co-op.
This event is replacing the Co-op’s annual open house as a way to showcase many of the foods and products the North Country has to offer and what is available at the Co-op.
Everyone who shops in the store on the day of the Local Food Fest will receive a 10% discount on their purchases.
In addition to samples from the Co-op’s own Carriage House Bakery and Deli there will be offerings from Co-op vendors like Canton Apples cider and juice, Village Veggies fresh salsa from their garden, Pat and April’s Pork, Black River Valley Natural milk and butter, Cedar Hedge Farm Goat Cheese, Aqua ViTea kombucha, Woody’s Maple Syrup, and more.
This is an event for all ages and open to everyone. There will be fun children’s activities and music will be provided throughout the day by local musicians.
