POTSDAM -- There is a parking ban on all village streets until 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Village police say the ban is to make it easier for public works crews to clear snow from the roadways.
A news release from the Potsdam Police Department urges people to not travel unless necessary.
“For the safety of all residents, police encourage the general public to stay off the roads and shelter in place while this advisory is active,” a news release from the police department says. “Winter Storm Stella has the potential for blizzard conditions and steady, heavy snow causing poor visibility and hazardous driving conditions on the roadways.”
