Penny M. Wickwire, 69, Massena

MASSENA – Penny M. Wickwire, 69, of Grassmere Terrace, passed away Sunday afternoon, February 18, 2024 at Massena Hospital after a brief illness.

Penny was born in Ogdensburg on January 19, 1955, the daughter of the late Betty Kiah. A marriage to Frank Smith blessed her with two sons, Jeffrey and Jason. Frank predeceased her and she later married Charles Wickwire, who also predeceased her.

Penny was a bartender at various local restaurants and bars, most recently at the Rusty Wheel. She was a member of the Massena Senior Citizens and enjoyed playing games on her phone, doing diamond art, and enjoyed visiting with friends at Grassmere.

Penny is survived by her loving son, Jason and her friends at Grassmere Terrace.

In addition to her mother, she was sadly predeceased by her son Jeffrey on July 14, 2000.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, however there will be no services.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
