Expect scattered to numerous rain showers with embedded thunder across the St. Lawrence Valley today, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Showers are expected, mainly before noon, with a high near 72, the service says. Wind gusts will e as high as 25 mph as well.
Tonight, low will be around 43 degrees, with showers mainly before 9 p.m.
A cold front brings cooler temperatures and partial sunshine on Monday before the next chance for widespread rainfall arrives Tuesday, NWS says.
The rest of the work week features mainly dry weather and a warming trend before unsettled weather possibly returns next weekend, forecasters say.

Mostly cloudy, with a high near 61. Northeast wind around 8 mph.

A 40 percent chance of showers after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 49. Northeast wind around 8 mph. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Showers likely, mainly after 4pm. Cloudy, with a high near 61. Northeast wind 10 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
