MASSENA -- Students at Madison Elementary will soon have a new climbing wall to use in physical education classes thanks to a donation from a Madison parents’ group.
The $7,700 wall is eight feet in height and 40 feet long, Madison principal Alan Oliver wrote in a letter to the Board of Education.
“This wall will allow all students to engage in an activity which is very good exercise and very fun at the same time,” the letter reads.
Last year, the group gave the school $8,500 to purchase Smart Board technology.
