Shayne L. Figured, 27, 1524 Knox St., was charged Wednesday with third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine and first-degree reckless endangerment, both class D felonies, and two misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child, police said.
Figured was jailed at the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility at the time of his arrest, and was arraigned by City Court Judge William Small before being sent back to the county jail, police said..
Two others charged previously in this case were Nathan G. Corbine, 28, and Jessica L. Pray, 24, who were the occupants of 124 Belmont Courts. They were charged on Feb. 21 with criminal possession of methamphetamine making materials and two counts each of endangering the welfare of a child, misdemeanor counts.
On Jan. 15, city police and firefighters were dispatched to a report of a structure fire at the Belmont Courts address.
When they arrived, they observed a fire coming from a second story bedroom and multiple explosions coming from within the room.
After the fire was put out, fire investigators said they found observed materials and components used for the manufacture of methamphetamine in that room. They concluded the cause of the fire was a methamphetamine lab in the second story bedroom of that apartment.
