OGDENSBURG – Ogdensburg City Council modified a speed limit on Jefferson Avenue to bring it into compliance with the city’s code Monday.
The council expanded the 20 mph speed zone for a total of 600 feet.
The new zone runs adjacent to Grant Madill School between a point 300 feet north of the northern curb line of Grove Street and a point 300 feet south of the southern curb line of Pine Street.
Previous wording of the speed zone stated simply “adjacent to Grant Madill School between Grove Street and Pine Street.
City Manager Sarah Purdy said the change brings the speed zone into compliance with city code.
The resolution passed unanimously following a public hearing at which no one spoke.
