Three St. Lawrence County residents earned scholarships to Paul Smith's College from a recent Presidential Scholarship competition.
Participants had to carry out group exercises and later do a one-on-one interview with a college representative. One of the activities was using balloons and a few other materials to build a tower, another involved writing a skit with several provided elements.
The recipients are:
• Callie Trudell of Chase Mills, full scholarship
• Lindsey Remington of Lisbon, $2,000 scholarship
• Tyler Simmons of Ogdensburg, $2,000 scholarship
