OGDENSBURG -- The First Presbyterian Church of Ogdensburg will hold a candlelight vigil June 19 at 5 p.m. to remember the victims and families of the Pulse nightclub massacre in Orlando.
“We come together supporting one another and the LGBTQ community,” church officials said in an email. “All are welcome to share in this time as we hold on to our brothers and sisters through the grief and fear that such a horrific tragedy brings.”
Following the service there will be refreshments in Fellowship Hall with soup, sandwiches and cookies.
The church is at the Corner of Ford and Franklin streets in Ogdensburg.
In the June 12 attack, gunman Omar Mateen used an assault rifle to murder 49 people and injured 53 others in the attack on the gay nightclub in Orlando. He was shot dead by police at the scene.
