OGDENSBURG – Ogdensburg Fire Department responded to 246 calls in March 2019, but only five were for actual fires.
OFD responded to 93 emergency service calls, 10 hazardous condition calls, 133 service calls, five false alarms and one special condition call.
In 2018, the Fire Department responded to a total of 1,868 incidents including 36 fire calls, 103 hazardous conditions, 572 service calls, 92 false alarms, and five special incidents.
In addition to firefighting duties, the department is a BLS First Responder non-transporting agency staffed with 27 EMTs who assist the Ogdensburg Volunteer Rescue Squad.
In 2018 the fire department responded to 1,060 EMS-related incidents.
