OGDENSBURG -- The Ogdensburg City School District Board of Education has reduced the minimum price on the Sherman Elementary School building from $250,000 to $180,000 after it received no bids in July.
Purchase offers for Sherman School will be received by the Board of Education at the District Office at 1100 State St., Ogdensburg until 10 a.m. on Aug. 19.
The purchase offer form is available in the district office.
School board members decided to close the building to reduce costs as the district, like many others faces climbing per-pupil costs.
WWWNY-TV reported recently that the 16,000 square-foot building received no last month when the minimum bid was at $250,000. See that story here.
