OGDENSBURG -- Residents and businesses of Ogdensburg and its surrounding communities are invited to join the discussion as the Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce hosts the next Solarize Ogdensburg presentation at the United Helpers Mosaic building, 100 Ford St., on Saturday, Aug. 27 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
The discussion will center on how solarizing homes or businesses can save money on energy bills and reduce carbon footprints.
Representatives from Northern Lights Energy and Fourth Coast, Inc. will be on hand to answer questions and assist property owners with scheduling free consultations.
Residents and businesses who sign up for solar installations by Monday, Oct. 31 will be able to take advantage of group rates below market prices.
The Solarize Ogdensburg campaign is supported by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) under Governor Andrew Cuomo’s NY-Sun initiative.
NY-Sun plans to invest up to $1 billion in solar power through 2023 to significantly expand solar installations across the state, with the ultimate goal of transforming New York’s solar industry to become self-sustaining.
