In response to “St. Lawrence NYSARC Facing Closure Of Work Centers,” where can we send our messages that we don’t want the state to cut off the funding for these necessary sheltered homes and workshops? This is a very important part of our community and serves our special citizens. Why do the wealthy make these decisions in Albany? It certainly doesn’t meet the needs of our citizens to abandon them in this manner. Quite frankly, I’m sick to my stomach that Cuomo would permit this. First he slashes and burns education for our children and now he’s permitting the slashing of meaningful services for our special needs children, brothers and sisters! And for heaven’s sake, don’t tell me that the money isn’t there.
