POTSDAM -- Northern Music & Video has been chosen as the Potsdam Chamber of Commerce’s Pride in Potsdam Award nominee for September.
Northern Music was nominated in part because of its recent window display and interior updates.
Northern Music is also being recognized for its continued efforts to keep their storefront exterior swept, shoveled, and clean.
The Pride in Potsdam Award will be given at the Potsdam Chamber’s annual dinner at SUNY Potsdam’s Thatcher Hall Tuesday, Nov. 15, beginning at 6 p.m..
The award recipient will be chosen from the 11 monthly nominees named since last year’s annual dinner last autumn, according to chamber Executive Director Marylee Ballou.
“We do not preannounce the winner for this award, but invite a representative from each of the nominated businesses to attend the dinner.”
This year’s other nominees are The Lobster House, The Clarkson Inn, Hazen Enterprises, Misty Hollow, Little Italy, Eben’s Hearth, TJ Toyota, Sergi’s, 1844 House, and Wally Siebel/Alex Vangellow (Total Image property).
The chamber’s Town & Gown/Community Relations Committee developed this program in June of 2010, and this will be the second named recipient. Last year’s winner was Evans & White ACE Hardware.
