Northern Exposure Pony Club, a regional club of United State Pony Clubs, based in Franklin and St. Lawrence counties, is seeking new members.
Pony Club members start at about age six and graduate at age 25.
The term “Pony” reflects the youthful membership rather than the size of the mount.
Throughout their years in Pony Club, members progress through a standard evaluation system (called ratings). Each level requires them to learn more about horses and their care and to become increasingly accomplished riders.
Members of Northern Exposure Pony Club learn riding skills and horse care. Members compete in riding sports like Dressage, Eventing, Mounted Games, Show Jumping and Tetrathlon. Owning your own horse or pony is not necessary.
