POTSDAM – The North Country Children's Museum will host Fun with Polydrons: Giant Geometry! on Saturday, Oct. 17, with two sessions; 11 a.m. to noon and 2 to 3 p.m.
Using extra-large triangles, squares, pentagons and hexagons, children will be guided to build three dimensional geometric objects they can walk inside of. The activity is open to children ages 12 and under and their families. Through immersive play, children will learn the principles of geometry, engineering and space science.
The event is led by Professor Blair Madore of the SUNY Potsdam Math Department and SUNY Potsdam students.
Fun with Polydrons: Giant Geometry is included with paid admission or membership. The North Country Children's Museum is located at 10 Raymond Street in downtown Potsdam. For more information, visit https://northcountrychildrensmuseum.org/events/ .
