NORWOOD -- The Norwood American Legion has begun a “Queen of Hearts” weekly raffle.
A deck of cards, plus two jokers, are placed face down in a secure cabinet, each numbered one to 54. Players purchase a $1 ticket and select a card number.
Wednesdays at 8 p.m. the tickets are drawn and the card written on the selected ticket is turned over.
If the card is the queen of hearts, the ticket owner wins the jackpot. The jackpot is comprised of a percent of the proceeds from the ticket sales. Other cards in the deck are also worth a prize.
The first winner was Marjorie Barkley.
