Memorable catch in Madrid

One North Country fisherman reeled in a memorable catch Oct. 26. Sean Tiernan of Lisbon, New York, had an exciting start to his day when he reeled in an impressive 34-inch salmon while fishing in Madrid near the dam. Tiernan is a member of Cerebral Palsy of the North Country’s Outdoor Recreation Group, which helps provide opportunities for individuals to enjoy outdoor activities, recreation, and new experiences. The catch was a memorable moment for Tiernan and one worth celebrating, said group organizers.
