MASSENA -- WYBG Radio 1050 AM on Tuesday signed off for the last time.
Owners Wade and Dotty Curran have owned the station since buying it in 1988 and said “the decision was not easy.”
“We have owned this station for 27 years and experienced many ups and downs along the way and survived along the way, along with our wonderful listening audience in Massena, North Country and Canada, and dedicated staff and clients,” Wade Curran said in a letter to the editor of NorthCountryNow. “Our ‘fair and balanced’ programming, was always our goal. WYBG was different for the better! We thank your confidence in using our radio station.
Their programming included syndicated talk shows, along with national, local and regional news. They have also included shows on pets, trivia, cars, computers and health.
Their offices were at 24 Andrews St.
