Massena students can pick up personal belongings at curbside Friday

Posted

MASSENA -- Massena Central students who want to pick up their personal belongings and musical instruments, will have an opportunity for curbside pickup Friday, March 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at each school.

“Given the large number of students we wish to accommodate, it would be appreciated if your requests were limited to the most essential items necessary for your student's education and welfare,” said BOCES Spokesperson Rebekah Mott.

When people arrive at the school for the pickup, they are to remain in the vehicle, and a staff member will deliver the items to the vehicle at curbside, she said. Parents and guardians are asked to be patient during this process as they are looking out for the safety of everyone involved.

Elementary Schools – Pickup Procedure

To expedite this process, people are asked to send an email ahead of time to the building secretary of the child’s school. Email addresses are provided below. Include the following information in the email: student’s name, name of student’s classroom teacher, personal items requested, musical instrument requested, location of items requested, approximate time of pickup, and Chromebook. This will be an opportunity to pick up a Chromebook if the student requires one and has not already received one.

Contacts: Jefferson Elementary School, Denice Votra, dvotra@mcs.k12.ny.us; Madison Elementary School, Debbie Rush, drush@mcs.k12.ny.us or Nightengale Elementary School, Ally McLean, amclean@mcs.k12.ny.us.

Junior High and High School – Pickup Procedure

The process is the same as for elementary students outlined above, including in the email student’s name, personal items requested, educational items requested (i.e. calculator, books, etc.), musical instrument requested, location of items requested, approximate time of pickup and Chromebook.
