MASSENA – Massena police are searching for a suspect who allegedly robbed Alkies Liquor Store at 9:30 p.m. yesterday.
“I can confirm we are investigating a "strong arm" robbery that occurred at Alkies Liquor Store (191 North Main Street) last night at approximately 9:30 p.m.,” Chief Currier said in an emailed response.
Currier said a male, “believed to be white, between six foot-one to six foot-four inches tall, with a medium to large build, covering his face with what was believed to be a black shirt entered the store and demanded the money from the register.”
Currier said he left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.
United Stated Border Patrol and the New York State Police assisted with the investigation, which is ongoing.
