MASSENA -- Massena Music Friends will have its first annual dessert cabaret fundraiser in conjunction with Massena Central's Rocktober on Oct. 25 at the New Testament Church in Massena.
Sale of desserts starts at 6:30 p.m. and the performances begin at 7 p.m.
All proceeds from this fundraiser will go to the Pat Tubbs Scholarship fund.
MMF will issue two scholarships to a graduating MCS student (one band member and one chorus member) at the end of the school year, if funds are available.
Organizers are in need of members to assist with the effort.
Two volunteers are needed Oct. 24 at 5 p.m. to help with setup and three volunteers are needed during the event with ticket sales, serving dessert, table clean-up, sales and clean-up.
Dessert makers are also needed to make cheesecakes, pies, cakes, cupcakes, sugar-free and gluten-free items or fruit kabobs.

Bakers are asked to label their dessert donations with index card or sticky label and provide a list of ingredients (tree nuts, strawberries, peanuts, etc.) to help people with food allergies.
Please use non-returnable containers.
Subway in Massena, Via Main, Twin Leaf in Akwesasne, Hardy’s Bakery, Econo Fuels and Price Chopper are donating desserts and paper products to the effort.
