MASSENA -- A Massena man is jailed on a burglary charge after an ill-fated attempt to reunite with an ex-girlfriend.
David S. MacDonald, 30, of 22 Perkins Road is facing one count of second-degree burglary, a felony and two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.
Police said MacDonald went to the Perkins Road residence he shared with Raelyn Barnes and broke the back door to get into the house, despite her protests. He then allegedly threw her phone out the window when she tried to call police.
MacDonald was arraigned in Massena Village Court before Justice Eric Gustafason and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, Canton in lieu of $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond.
