DEKALB -- A man faces multiple charges after St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies said he had crack cocaine and Kadian (Morphine).
Deputies said Kenneth Vandell Smith, 21, of Almac Road, Lumberton, N.C., was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance Wednesday night.
Deputies said Smith was stopped on Highway 812 when when he was found to be in possession of the drugs.
The sheriff's K-9 unit made the arrest and were assisted by St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force members including the Gouverneur and Canton police departments. SUNY Potsdam Police also assisted in the arrest.
Smith was taken to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility.
