OGDENSBURG -- Brooke Lawrence, a senior at Madrid-Waddington Central School, was recently chosen as the May BOCES student of the month by the Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce.
Lawrence is a student in the BOCES culinary arts program taught by Stephen Putman.
She will be attending SUNY Potsdam in the fall, majoring in psychology.
“Brooke has been an outstanding student of the past two years. Brooke always completes her class work on time and accurately. Brooke never complains about her kitchen tasks and she is a quiet class leader. Brooke has also been employed by “Sweet Treats” in Hogansburg for the past three summers,” Putman said.
Lawrence received a certificate from BOCES, a “Chamber Dollars” check and a plaque from the Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce.
