MADRID – A Madrid man has been charged with taking a sledgehammer to his girlfriend’s car.
Mark LaCroix, 40, of 321 Hague Rd. is held in the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility on $500 bail after being accused of third-degree criminal mischief, a felony, which could be elevated if the damage to the vehicle amounts to more that the arresting St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputy’s estimate, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called to Madrid at about 6:20 p.n. Wednesday on a complaint that began with a heated argument, the Sheriff’s Office said.
