To the Editor:
As we enter our fourth week of the Massena Recreation program, we look forward to having as much fun as we did in the first three weeks.
The children have enjoyed many activities at the playgrounds, Alcoa Field, Jefferson Elementary, Madison Elementary, and Nightengale Elementary. They also enjoyed the afternoons cooling off at the Massena Town Beach. For those of you that have not signed up to be a part of the program, there still is time to come and join us at any one of the four playgrounds.
We have enjoyed two fieldtrips so far. TimeQuest Miniature Golf was our first destination. The children enjoyed golf and also playing with and feeding the various animals.
Next we rolled the balls down the lanes at Bowlmor and had lots of laughs. There were strikes, spares and some other scores as well. A few gutter balls were also part of the fun. Thank you to those businesses for their support.
Our Wednesday beach lunch program has also gone very well. Our sponsors: Hannaford, Subway and Domino’s have donated the food and the children have enjoyed it very much. Pepsi has donated the drinks. Thank you for supporting our program.
We still have three weeks left, so it’s not too late to join. Our playgrounds open at 9 a.m. and run until 4 p.m. every day. See you at one of the parks.
