POTSDAM -- Local author Rebecca Donnelly will teach a professional development class for writers on April 5 at 10 a.m. at room 230, Downtown Snell Hall, 41 Elm St.
Donnelly authored “The Changing Hour” and articles for various magazines.
She is currently working on a novel set in the Florida panhandle and the world of children’s theatre.
She has a publication contract with Macmillan and is represented by Molly Ker Hawn of The Bent Agency.
She will help students draft their own query letter.
Participants do not need to have a complete manuscript; this class is appropriate for anyone interested in getting published, whether they're just starting out or have been at it for a while.
The cost is $20.
Students should bring writing materials.
