Harvard's Haley Mullins scored with 1:34 remaining to snap a 2-2 tie and give the No. 7 Crimson a 3-2 win over St. Lawrence women's hockey on Saturday night at the Bright-Landry Hockey Center in Cambridge, Mass.

The Saints got goals from seniors Amanda Boulier and Jenna Marks, but Harvard's Miye D'Oench tallied a pair of special teams' goals in the second period and set up Mullins late in the third to help Harvard (1-1-1) nab its first win of the season. After a weekend split, St. Lawrence is now 4-6-1 overall and 1-1-0 in ECAC Hockey contests.

"Tough break for our team tonight," Head Coach Chris Wells said. "Harvard dug deep to beat us. They had some injuries and people missing and playing back-to-back nights for the first time all year; impressive effort by them."

Boulier gave the Saints an early 1-0 lead less than three minutes into the opening frame with her fourth of the season. Kennedy Marchment and Hannah Miller picked up their first assists on the night, as the duo also set up Marks' snipe later in the game.

After taking a 1-0 lead into the first intermission, the Saints started the second on the power play after Harvard was assessed a protocol penalty. But D'Oench cashed in on a short-handed breakaway opportunity 1:41 into the second period to even things at 1-1.

Then, with three seconds remaining in the middle frame, D'Oench notched a power play tally to give Harvard a 2-1 lead.

At the 13:34 mark of the third, Marchment fed Miller in the slot and the North Vancouver, B.C. native faked a shot before dishing to Marks at the bottom of the left circle. Marks took a step towards netminder Brianna Laing before roofing a wrister over her left shoulder for the game-tying goal; her first of the season.

Mullins' tally with 1:34 remaining came off a rebound in front to win it for the Crimson.

St. Lawrence outshot the Crimson 30-19 in the contest and Sonjia Shelly came up big in net for the Saints, making 16 stops. Laing finished with 28 for Harvard.

"We played an excellent game and most nights we probably walk away with two points, but that is what our league is all about," Wells added. "We have come a long way the last two weeks with our play and effort! It have been fun to watch this team come together and play the way we are playing now."

The Saints will continue their ECAC Hockey schedule on the road at RPI and Union next weekend.
