PARISHVILLE – A landlord who threatened a man with a baseball bat and struck his truck with it was arrested by St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies.
Deputies charged James W. Barney, 37, of 499 Sylvan Falls Rd., Hopkinton, with second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal mischief after he allegedly hit the truck of a man at a rental property with a metal baseball bat and, still holding it, threatened to hit the man with it.
Barney was arraigned in Hopkinton Town Court and released. He is to return at a later date.
