POTSDAM — LaBella Associates has acquired Tisdel Associates, a Potsdam-based engineering firm that has served North Country municipalities, schools, healthcare organizations and businesses for more than 50 years.
The acquisition expands LaBella’s operations in the region, including Potsdam, Canton, Massena, Ogdensburg and surrounding communities. Tisdel employees will join LaBella and continue working with existing clients. LaBella also plans to move into a larger Potsdam office.
Founded in 1969, Tisdel Associates provides civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering services for public and private sector clients.
“By joining LaBella, we’re able to maintain the relationships and local commitment our clients value, while offering access to expanded resources, specialized expertise, and a broader network of professionals,” said Aaron Jarvis, senior civil engineer and team leader at Tisdel Associates.
LaBella President Jeff Roloson said the acquisition will strengthen the firm’s ability to support projects in the region.
“Tisdel represents everything we look for in a partner,” Roloson said. “Their legacy in the region combined with LaBella’s expanded resources creates an opportunity to support the growth and investment happening throughout the North Country.”
LaBella’s recent North Country projects include Village of Potsdam Downtown Revitalization Initiative improvements, the redevelopment of Congdon Hall into senior housing, North Country Children’s Museum, SUNY Potsdam renovations and Brooks Street reconstruction.
